After the recent and hugely exciting Mercury music prize nomination for their 2006 debut album, "Voices Of Animals & Men" and a hectic year of touring, touring and more touring, The Young Knives embarked on making their killer second album in lightning timing. The Knives have almost finished recording the new album with producer Tony Doogan (SFA, Mogwai, Belle & Sebastian, Dirty Pretty Things) in Glasgow. The first single from the new album is "Terra Firma", featuring further, exclusive new material in the shape of unheard songs "A Cavern", "Holiday" and "Back To Back". "Terra Firma", whose inimitable chorus shouts "Fake rabbit, real snake, terra firma, TERRA FIRMA!" is a suitably surreal yet anthemic, dancefloor-crushing return.
