Review

Aldo Bergamachine's Radio Cosmos label continue their endeavours to explore the outer reaches of synth heavy Italo disco with this limited double LP compilation Synth Dimension. Even if you're not familiar with the label, a brief glance at the Robert Maschke produced cover art should give you a hint at what to expect from this eleven track compilation, namely star gazing Italo thick on the synthesis and notions of space travel and futurism. Across the four sides, Synth Dimension essentially grants a quartet of highly regarded synth explorers 12"s to show their wares with Keen K, Kid Machine, Astro Chicken founder Hyboid and Infinity Night all involved. Under-rated UK producer Kid Machine might just shade, thanks in part to his excellent Fleming Dalum collaboration, though overall it's an excellent compilation for anyone with an interest in modern Italo composers.
