Electro fans of a certain vintage will be well versed in the distinct charms of Texan producer Submersible Machines and will need little further enticement to indulge in this Isobaths 12". For the rest, a recap; back in 2010 Submersible Machines issued a self titled debut EP on Dublin label Lunar Disko which gracefully drew together submerged Drexciyan electro with supple acid lines and understated yet emotive Italo melodies. It quickly sold out and the producer has been largely absent since then, until now that is. Isobaths presents five cuts of blissful Submersible Machines magic that mines a deeper vein of electro yet remains eminently appropriate for club usage. The hazy narcosis of "Amni" and the snaking techno pulse of "Fusiform" are notable highlights.
