Construction worker turned producer Jodey Kendrick made something of a stir with his 2009 debut full-length, the vintage Aphex Twin-meets-Like Vibert collection +10. This long-delayed follow-up continues where its predecessor left off, joyously joining the dots between classic "braindance", acid, EBM, stone cold electro, IDM, rave revivalism and twisted electrofunk. At two discs deep it's a bit of a journey, but the purity of Kendrick's electronic sound, not to mention his way with rhythms, ensures the entertainment factor remains high throughout. It does sound a bit like it could have been released in 1993, but that's kind of the point; as far as sparkling retro-futurism goes, this is the real deal.
