Having previously surfaced on the Filtered compilation for Bleep, John Flynn's Spaces project returns with more intricate and playful electronica for the Warp subsidiary that more solidly establishes him as an artist of note for anyone who enjoys a good glitch-out. "Apologies" works rapid fire fragments and occasional sweeps of big bass into a tricksy time signature arrangement, while "Outside In" takes a slightly more measured approach to crafty electro. "Lever" too works catchy elements into a slick and addictive funk, with plenty of interference to keep things out in leftfield, before "In Wait" rounds things off with a more twitchy affair bolstered by looping piano fragments and interesting atmospheric disturbances.
