With a nod in the direction of Steely Dan ("Holding On") and prime 70s Stevie Wonder ("Soul Horizon") alongside a glorious orchestral arrangement by Brazilian legend Deodato, The Beauty Room navigate a sophisticated, hugely accessible path between metropolitan soul shimmer and yearning spirituality. Degiorgio is the noted label boss of Rephlex/Warp-like imprints Applied Rhythmic Technologies (ART) and Op-Art and has recorded as Future/Past and As One as well as under his own name. Whether as artist, producer or as an in-demand DJ, remixer and production wiz, Degiorgio is a protean figure who'll be familiar to connoisseurs of all things discriminating on the UK experimental/techno/electronica and broken beats scenes. Simon Jinadu's career is no less eye-popping than his partner's, having performed with the likes of Diana Ross, the Lighthouse Family and the late Robert Palmer amongst myriad others. As "Jinadu", he released the EP, Manoeuvre and has been a tireless explorer of 70s funk and 90s urban beat culture, his various performances and releases always emblazoned with those rich, pliant vocal cords. Along with producer Kirk Degiorgio & vocalist Jinadu the single features drummer Chris Whitten (Paul McCartney, Edie Brickell) and Grammy winning engineer Peter Henderson (Supertramp) along with classical pianist Tom O'Grady & Peacefrog favourite & guitarist Ian O'Brien.
