Jeff Mills' Something In The Sky series started when the Detroit veteran noticed a distinct lack of functional records on the market, namely 12"s that could be manipulated by adventurous DJs keen to modify basic grooves into their own unique DJ sets. Thus the SITS releases have hallmarked by sparse, stripped back 909s, shuffling hi-hats and eerie atmospherics, while the artwork points to Mills' affinity for extra terrestrial life. Simply put, yet another essential addition to the collection of any Mills completist or techno DJ with a sense of artistry.
