Parisian producer Simon Aussel first appeared earlier in the year with his debut release on Livity Sound sub label Dnuos Ytivil. He now appears on Fragil Musique, following up a great release by Juno HQ favourites and fellow Frenchmen Nummer. On the A side "Reading Rashid" starts off proceedings. It's quite a mellow and soulful affair with rich strings and a sweet and swirling hypnotic melody. "Soko Ban (That Trippy Mix)" features similar elements from the previous track but with a tough broken beat and added bass for dancefloor dynamic. On the flip "Meteor Racer" is rough and ready electro from the darkside, quite a curve ball but we like it. There's some serious sub bass and high hat hiss on this one. The first track gets a lovely instrumental reprise on "Reading Rashid (Passion Cascade)".
