Global Pop First Wave is quickly making a name for itself in the world-psych communities, and all the praise is most deserved. They're parent label, Corvo Records, is a more typical Berlin affair, carrying subtle techno and ambient infusions, but this imprint doesn't feel like a million miles away; they share something mystical with one another. This is the third volume of the label's Saz Beat, a variety of Middle-Eastern funk, with a distinctive flavour of pure psychedelia. Masterfully put together and unapologetically presented on one slab of vinyl along with an 8-page booklet, this is pretty essential to anyone into the infamous Turkish funk sound. It's a keeper, and a fine addition to an already stellar catalogue.
