Swiss electro punks and Juno HQ favourites Lux Rec are back, this time with a kick ass offering from Savage Grounds. Savage Grounds are label head honcho Daniele Cosmo and CCO, and their latest offering provides an early contender for release title of the year! The EP was said to have been "recorded live with no further editing using an 808, a modular synth and a space echo". Well then: "Uproar" is a grinding slow burner, all overdriven kick, rusty high hats and analogue squelch. "Soaring" follows in suit with rapid fire rim shots and haunting Carpenter-esque strings: this one's moody as hell! On the flip they up the ante with "Motoric" which snarls away in all dirty Devilfish style acidity (totally killer!) while "Deranged" bounces away beneath the melodies of frayed vintage circuitry... and it's never sounded better!
