The Polyversal Souls are the legendary Poets Of Rhythm under an assumed name, giving the world a heavy slice of Ethio-funk entitled "Sad Nile". This bunch of funky hippies have been doing their thing for many years under a bewildering array of pseudonyms, always pushing the boundaries of the music and standing head and shoulders above most other contemporary funk acts. The Polyversal souls is their newest incarnation - and they come off sounding like Mulatu jamming with Clyde Stubblefield in the Black Forest! On the b-side is "Muswell Hill Run", a low slung funk workout with a touch of Afro flavour.
