Rob Papen Blade Additive Virtual Synthesizer

The Rob Papen Blade is a 16-voice additive-based virtual instrument capable of creating new sonic textures that has been designed to be as easy to manipulate as subtractive synths.

The power of Rob Papen Blade lies within the Harmolator, a set of global controls that get to the heart of the synthesis engine without the need to edit the additive partials that make up the waveform. 9 Harmolator controls shape the underlying partials, putting you in control of the harmonic content of the sound in an intuitive and musical way.

Further sound-shaping can be applied with the use of a square/sine wave sub-oscillator, multiple distortion types that can be applied individually to each voice, and 14 different filter types. Modulation of Harmolator and other Blade parameters is extensive, including 3 envelopes, 3 LFOs and XY knobs, most of which are freely assignable in one of four modulation slots. The central XY screen can record 2 dimensional movement allowing for unique LFO-type modulation.

The Blade also features familiar Rob Papen effects, housing two effects engines and an arpeggiator/sequencer to add melodic and rhythmic variation within the sound.
