Ornaments Symphony 3 CD

For the third instalment of Ornaments' self-titled mix series, DJ duties have been handed to label regular Rhauder (AKA producer Marco Rhauderwick). He rummages through two years of label releases, presenting highlights from the German deep house and deep techno imprint across two discs encased in a limited edition metal box. It's a typically deep, woozy, atmospheric and hypnotic set, with Rhauder's decision to group together tracks by particular artists - often taken from the same EP or 12" single - paying dividends. Some label mixes can be a little on the dry side, but Ornaments 3 is nothing of the sort. Variously calming, undulating, winding, percussive and intense, it's an enjoyable journey in the company of one of the label's most reliable artists.
