Derradji returns for his first solo endeavour on Stilove4music in some time, bringing the hard boogie flavours with opening track "Lay It On Me", which expertly swerves from the heavy moog pump of the opening movements into killer soul vocal flex with the sort of ease we've come to expect. Complementing this on the A Side is the gritty low slung funk of "Situation" which is dominated by the lead female vocal - some nice bottom end fattening on the groove from Mr Derradji here! On the flip "Bass Is The Place" will be recognisable to anyone blessed with a passing interest in early 80s electro funk whilst "Play On" ends on a sped up multi sample mutant electro boogie p-funk tip!
