Golf Channel delve back into the canon of former Phantom Band member and Can cohort Dominik Von Senger with two supreme remixes of "Only Love Can Take Us Home" from Thomas Bullock under the Welcome Stranger moniker. As appealing as those upfront and limited Golf Channel promos are, there's always the sense you might want to wait for the finished copies to arrive due to the excellent artwork that invariably adorns them. Whilst last week's Juju & Jordash 12" was an office opinion splitter (certain Juno employees have been put off hamantash for life) the cover art for the full edition of Only Love Can Take Us Home is an excellent collage of saturated photography that complements the double dose of hypnotic Welcome Stranger edits within. Bullock's first version is a woozy, motorik delight embellished with sporadic bursts of guitar feedback, while the flipside is all blissful and beatless ambience.
