As always with labels originating from the northern end of Europe, one can expect an eclectic, leftfield concoction of styles and influences. Sex Tags, Sahko and Borft immediately spring to mind, but Finland's Seahorse & Castle has also been contributing to the Scandinavian alternative tradition. Label boss DJ Ender begins "Siltane" with a bleepy percussion which rapidly shapes into a fine Detroit-inspired house affair. The awkwardly named "Sick Cat" builds into a low-key acid jam and on the flipside, while title track "Ohmu" is a chugging, minimalistic beat with crispy effects and chilling strings. Finally, "Ghost Coaster" delivers yet more raw madness with its luscious melodies and finishes things off in fine style for the label's third release.
