Italian pair Nico Vascellari and Nicolo Fortuni have only put out a limited amount of output under their Ninos Du Brasil moniker, but each and every single EP or LP has been of the highest calibre, whether for DFA, Ultra Eczema, or the present Hospital Productions. They're back on Vatican Shadow's imprint with two stone-cold drillers: the first is made up of a heavy 4/4 kick, a barrel-load of hypnotics, and it goes by the name of "A Magia Do Rei"; the second, however, in much more in the label's usual vein, and "Algo Ou Alguem As Arvores" is one of those tunes that's totally bereft of any genre or format, instead choosing to drop a steady kick drum over intricate percussions swings, Eastern wails, and a distant sea of washed-up sonics. Warmly recommended.
