||1.||New York Transit Authority - "Off The Traxx"|
||1.||Conqueror - "Highest Order"|
Redlight's Lobster Boy imprint serves up its third helping of vinyl only treats with two supposedly new names at the helm in the shape of New York Transit Authority and Conqueror. Rife is the rumour that these are merely aliases for some of Bristol's finest, but we don't dabble in hearsay - instead we focus on the music, which is pretty special! Both productions veer through the crisp 808 centric thrust that Swamp 81 and [Naked Lunch] have been pioneering in 2011, with the low reaching NY Transit Authority jam "Off the Traxx (Catch That Train)" splaying a loose percussive swing and Carpenter style synth stabs over gloopy sub bass incursions. Conqueror's self titled B Side is the tougher accompaniment, all dystopian dread vibes and finely sculpted 808s dipped in dust.
