Although once celebrated by those within the funk breaks scene, Neighbour have always been more disco and electrofunk-friendly than their party-starting reputation suggests. In recent times, their Homebreakin' label has largely eschewed breaks-related antics in favour of cuts shot through with original electro flavour. This collaborative EP with pal Dave Allison continues that trend, fusing floor-friendly disco drum breaks with vintage synths, fat electro breaks and some seriously cheeky old skool samples. There's plenty of fun to be had, from the sweaty, upbeat shenanigans of "Kickin' Action" to the slo-mo synth-wave-meets-Balearica goodness of "You Can Do It".
