Aussie psych-rockers MY DISCO get served with some equally bleak and sinister remixes of two tracks from their most recent Severe LP (on brooklyn's Temporary Residence Limited) to suit the trio's penchant for heavy repetition. First off is Downwards head honcho Regis, whose rendition of "Our Decade" is reminiscent of his work with Silent Servant in Sandra Electronics; raw post punk cyclicality in full effect and retaining the savage guitar drones of the original. On the flip we have the dark ambient master himself: Lustmord, who delivers a chilling take on "1991" and creating a black metal guitar drone odyssey in the vein of SUNN O))/KTL by utilising those guitar drones effectively yet again and treating Liam Andrews' vocals to generous servings of delay and reverb treatments.
