Raw minimal techno specialist Kim Rapatti is back with a selection of new material on his own DUM Records. Having pioneered key techno sounds as far back as 1990, more than 20 years later the influential Finnish artist is still on top of his game. Starting out with the minimal rave of "Halo" with its hoover synths dancing away violently atop of stadium sized drums which will hypnotise you into submission. On the flip, he flips the script with "Musta Peili" a gritty and rust covered EBM reduction which had us equally impressed in all its saturated and compressed glory while "Farewell" welcomes back the ravey retro aesthetics on another extended journey which basks in all its classic vintage synth glory, but this one is much more ferocious!
