Killer repress of the third release on Santiago Salazar's Historia Y Violencia imprint. This 12" is a split release featuring Salazar and his LA cohort Silent Servant. The timing is impeccable, with Mr Servant recently showcasing his unique talent across a seven track LP for the Hospital Productions imprint. On the A-Side, Silent Servant's "Mi Alma" is bathed in the kind of atmosphere that characterised the producer's records for Sandwell District (RIP), all moody chords and loops that accumulate menace as they stalk towards the runout groove, Salazar's "Corazon" comparatively lighter in tone, with a star-gazing melody lending the cut a hazy, gentle charm.
