Adding weight to the idea that a rising contingent of Italian producers are generating exciting fresh takes on the bass music paradigm, Meze returns to Home Made Zucchero with another four tracks of beastly sonic fusions. There's a fine balance struck between eerie sound design and brutal low end frequencies, and in the shape shifting, dynamic constructions Meze conjures up there is something genuinely original and exciting happening. At its core "Sans Corps" is a wholly danceable dubstep workout, but the dizzying layers of sonics flying around the outside make it so much more than that. With every track imparting its own distinct message, this is a record to make heads turn wherever it's played.
