Berlin based house hero Shir Khan serves up another volume in his acclaimed Black Jukebox series and we're already up to volume seventeen which is mighty impressive! On this edition we have Martin Lewis, who despite his name is actually a German dude who has released on labels like Freebase, Holic Trax and his own Profound imprint: which he founded back in 2008. He looks after things groove-wise on the A side with the funky and lo-slung hip-hop inspired deepness (dopeness!) of "Lifted" while "Feel Good" is a nice and reliable slo-mo disco edit which might sound familiar to some of you. On the flip is self described 'medicine man with shamanic powers' Aussteiger with the tough, dusted down and absolutely rolling deep house jam "Taperock" which will appeal to fans of the Robsoul Recordings sound while "Baracoa" offers up more of the same and the hypnotic melody it has happening throughout is pure magic.
