The subject of many bootlegs and illicit pressings, Larry Levan, Brodie Williams and Kofi Morny's mid 80s funk/proto Man Friday project enjoys a certified reissue from King Street who first pressed this in 2003. Larry's shake-up of "Groove" is a salubrious boogie joint with slippery synths and squeaky clean elements. The demo mix of "Winners" is equally impressive. Arguably better than the original's brash 80s production, complete with standard horn solo, the demo is much looser, subtler and softer with the vocals' sentiment hitting much harder as a result.
