After the inaugural release by Tokyo's Aquarium, London lo-fi house merchants X-Kalay are now ready to unveil SL002 on their new sister label Silver Lake. London's Luna Monk delivers two cuts of beatless, otherworldly ambience spanning a total of just over 26 irresistible minutes. An EP of two sides; of sunshine and rain, this is an exploration of light and dark, and all the areas in between. On the A side "Sun Kiss" will charm you with all its celestial/intergalactic beauty. Perfect to drift to and absolutely sublime. On the flip, "Sun Setting Blues" is more mysterious.. nefarious even! Those classic FM pads and aquatic soundscapes working in perfect (dis)harmony creating some real moments of beauty in the darkness.
