While his back catalogue is chock full of retro-futurist gems variously inspired by Chicagoan jack tracks, vintage bleep techno and early UK hardcore, Luca Lozano is also capable of making the kind of hard-to-pigeonhole madness more usually associated with his longtime friends DJ Sotofett and DJ Fett Burger. It's this latter influence that comes to the fore on "King Blade", a tactile chunk of swinging, off-kilter deep house lushness that peppers a squeezable synth bassline with starry riffs, electronic bleeps and regular blasts of pitched-down jungle breakbeats. On the flipside, the "Wooooo Mix" turns it into a foreboding chunk of late night haziness, while the "Eargoggle & 240 Interceptor Aerosol Attack Mix" gleefully joins the dots between bleep, EBM, dirty Italo-disco and skewed techno.
