The mighty Cpen, coming up with another winner here for his latest outing on Seasons. "Lovers Lounge" is a choice three-tracker that dares to mix things up, with the A-side classic mix from Cpen clocking in a seriously midtempo 100 BPM, taking its cue from the old-school disco vibe of labels like West End and Prelude. Adding a different vibe entirely is JT Donaldson, who ups the tempo, beefs up the bass and turns out pumping late night groover that keeps it both techy and musical at the same time. Hot. On the flip, Cpen's extended "No Kinda Rules" is a real dancefloor pleaser with the bass coming in loud and clear before kicking into a jamming late night key-heavy groover. Definitely a hot track for the Freerange and Buzzin'fly heads, this one. One of Seasons' strongest EPs in a little bit.
