Named in honour of the Canadian one dollar coin, Loonie Bin is the latest label to surface out of the bubbling scene over in Vancouver, British Columbia. Whispers of links to Mood Hut abound with the label and the debut Loonie Bin release, Dream Vision, swiftly sold out at Juno despite any concrete info. The fact it was a quality slab of modern house no doubt helped, and this second 12" is just as good. Fans of the more rugged end of house music will really dig the A side "Muscle Mix" with some wonderfully rampaging drums dominating the cut, though there are also some killer chords to capture the attention. Complementing this, the "Nasty Mix" offers a more subtle, beatdown flavour with a little hint of g-funk in the flex.
