Second time around for LA-based trio's Pollyn's Living In Patterns album, the follow-up to the well-regarded 2010 set "This Little Night". Having first been released in the US in 2011, it here appears in expanded form. Those familiar with their distinctive brand of musical fusion - think Kate Bush-ish vocals atop a breezy but occasionally druggy mix of electronica, pop, new wave and post-punk funk - will be in their element. For newcomers, there's much to admire, not least the fuzzy funk of "Same Old Thing" (produced by Sal Principato of Liquid Liquid fame) and the urgent global fusion of "Sometimes You Know".
