Despite boasting a discography that would happily fill a small set of IKEA Expedit shelves, Paris-based tech-house producer Paul Ritch has yet to release a full-length. This set, recorded live at the 10th birthday party of Cocoon's Green & Blue party, is therefore his debut album. In some ways it's a bit of an oddity, sitting somewhere between a DJ mix, live album and studio set, but delivers a bit more energy and excitement than a straightforward collection of tracks. Opening with some moody, chord-laden minimalism in the Cocoon style, it quickly turns into a pumping journey through jackin' acid and impeccable late night murkiness.
