DFA Records unveil their latest label addition Lace Curtain; the Supergroup are headed by the perma busy Australian musician Mikey Young of Total Control, Eddy Current Suppression Ring and Ooga Boogas fame (see we told you) and also includes his Total Control band mate James Vinciguerra and Rat Columns founder David West. As Lace Curtain they explore "an electronic world of pleasure, frustration and sadness" with the results on this assured self titled debut sounding at times like a Fad Gadget B Side circa 1982, "Good Intentions" in particular. It's nice to see DFA exploring so far off the beaten track in the post LCD Soundsystem era.
