At some point during the 1990s, Anthony 'Shake' Shakir produced a couple of E.Ps for electro trio K.O.T. This 12" gathers together tracks from both of those now hard-to-find singles. "Da Jit" - the inspiration for a Detroit-based forerunner to Chicagoan Juke - is showcased in both vocal and instrumental mixes; both feature raw and heavy electro beats (built around samples from Kraftwerk's "It's More Fun to Compute", fact fans), weighty sub bass and plenty of wild, hip-hop style scratching. On the flip you'll find vocal and instrumental versions of the sleazy, similarly minded "Wet", whose beats, bass and electronic flourishes are notably slicker and more polished than the A-side. Even so, they're both still thrillingly raw.
