Swedish imprint Kontra Musik has endeared itself to us here at Juno with sublime releases from the likes of Luke Hess and Jason Fine. This latest 12", from Berghain resident Marcel Dettmann, contains two tracks entitled, in typically no-nonsense fashion, Factory Report One & Two. However the contents aren't as industrial as the title suggests; "Factory Report One" sees the producer in restrained, introverted mode, with the result a crackly piece that has shades of Donato Dozzy's techno ambience. Flipside track "Factory Report Two" is at once immersive and subtly epic, and offers a fascinating into how Dettmann is expanding his sonic palette.
