Hanna Hais brings her native French vocals to Defected in the form of "Ta Reine". A slice of layered, musical house in a classic mould, the track was produced in Athens by Mikael Delta, who contributes a bumping Latin-styled percussive mix that brings Hanna's atmospheric song to the fore. Elsewhere on the release, Switzerland's Purple Music label boss Jamie Lewis introduces filtered keys, piano riffs, handclaps and glockenspiel solos on his vocal version to give a rich sounding garage production flavour. Chicago legend and acid house pioneer DJ Pierre completes the re-rubs with a collision of driving afro beats and trademark electronic tweaks.
