Deep house explorer Jay Ka has already scored releases on Phonogramme, Saft and other labels, but now he reaches even further with a turn on Spain's finest, Minuendo Recordings. It's just the right kind of smooth, undulating dance music that can slip into all manner of situations from the beach bar to the after party. "They Like To Do" is a wonderfully meditative jam laced with vocal licks and hazy chords, but even when things get spicier on "Unknown Uniform" the brittle drums and acid lines seem to blur into a woozy reverie that matches the rest of the EP. Watch out for Dubbyman's remix of "Untitled", which feeds some irresistible rolling drums and piano chords into the mix.
