While Poni Hoax are working at their new record with Joakim, the team comes back on vinyl with a new song from their debut album. "Involutive Star" is one of Poni Hoax's happiest bits of disco rock we've heard, with some old school house keyboards and crispy techno basslines. Nicolas Ker's voice is still reigning over this groovy mess like an old decadent king reigns over his people. On the flipside, Tigersushi head Joakim, once again hits the mark with a devastating remix that sounds like nothing else. Something somewhere between Villalobos, Audion, LCD Soundsystem and LFO, with fierce live drums, hypnotic electronic bells, horns, cut-ups and an acid finish.
