You can always rely on the Robot Scientists' Emerald & Doreen imprint for fly-by-night pop fun. Never-endingly leftcentric, their A&R knows no bounds. Which is thankful as they've just brought your attention to Russian synth pop duo Hot Hot Hawk. With a sound that touches on Human League, but done in the style of Hot Pink Delorean; "Space Traveller" is at once dreamy and cosmic yet utterly hooky and memorable. Remix-wise there's heaps to choose. Highlights include the Justice-style slap bass snatches on Capella's rub and the super-slow-motion slouch effect on the Summer Of Haze remix.
