As much as being featured by taste making blogs or traversing the heights of Hype Machine is posited as success by the great cogs of the music PR machine, it's always going to be trumped by the sensation of seeing your music released in physical form. Sun Glitters aka Luxembourgian producer Victor Ferreira is the latest to transcend the land of hype to the physical realm with the High EP his debut 12" release on the bizarrely named Music Is For Losers imprint. Occupying a similarly slowed down and smudged out sphere of stasis as the perennially popular Tri-Angle label, Sun Glitter's lead track is all about filling the wide expanses between the woozy, throbbing beat with huge layers of beatific sound. When Sun Glitters attempts to approach arrangements with more rhythmic verve as on both "It Takes Me" and "They Don't Want to Let You Know" he adopts a juddering broken poise that retains your interest.
