If you weren't paying attention when Hideout dropped Pearson Sound and Studio remixes of David's Lyre aka Mancunian multi instrumentalist Jack Dixon, it's likely the words Remix, Geist and Morgan will grab you. The Metro Area man is called upon to remix "Heartbeats" retaining the somewhat staccato nature of Dixon's original but implementing a sort of proto house rattle with the end result sounding not dissimilar to how a contemporary Loose Joints might reveal themselves. The sly vocal edits in particular serve a timely reminder of Geist's production brilliance - could we get a new Metro Area album soon please? On the flip Raf and Joe bear get deep down and dirty on their remix aimed squarely for the twilight dancefloor moments.
