The last time Stilove4music boss Jerome Derradji teamed with Rahaan the resulting 12inch was in stock for all of a hot minute and we expect this record to hang round for a similar amount of time. "NY Com" is spread across the A Side and will please the growing army of DJs currently obsessing over Ron Hardy-esque proto house jams, revelling as it does in a raw late 80s energy characterised by the stuttered vocals, rhythmic stabs and tinny drum rolls. On the flip, the duo concentrates on funkier fare with "Says Alright" extending the classic Philly groove of "Jam Jam Jam" from The Peoples Choice. "Always On My Mind" closes the EP on a high, reworking an obscure female vocal disco cut into prime Horse Meat Disco material. Killer release.
