Review |

Seven years after it initially hatched in San Francisco, Claude Von Stroke's Dirtybird label continues to release bass-fixated music aimed fairly and squarely at dancefloors that like it dirty. This latest collection - a round-up of three popular EPs released at the tail-end of 2011 - showcases the depth and variety of the label's recent output. The 12 tracks include the bassier house (A1 Bassline, a collab between Bristol-based outfit Eats Everything and label boss Von Stroke), skippy garage (Worthy, Sacha Robotti), Radio Slave-ish ketamine grooves (Kill Frenzy), dewy-eyed rave revivalism (DJ Cra$y), contemporary boompty (Catz 'N' Dogz) and even some boogie-influenced deepness (Soul Clap re-editing Nick Monaco).
