Having spent ample time building a name for themselves with self-released material both digitally and on sought-after vinyl, Dusseldorf's Gua Camole now gets snapped up by Project London to weave more of that dubbed out micro house magic away from home. Title track "Mastiha" is a strung-out affair with a beat that rolls on a broken pattern of sorts, even as it stays crisp and forward-focused while all around is directionless swells of pads. "Bambolina" is a more poised affair with its minimal beat, enveloping bass and tense machine-hum tones, leading neatly into the dark and cyclical nature of the Sylphe remix of "Mastiha". With its eerie sound sources amidst sharp percussive angles, it's as captivating a minimal release as you're likely to hear all year.
