Audio's done some serious time for D&B over his decade-long career but his Genesis Device LP deserves special attention. Tuning into a classic Virus sound, he kicks off with "Moon Dock" a brooding, post-apocalyptic piece before moving through some tech-y dancefloor destroyers such as the superb title track and "Stratosphere", with its dragging bass stabs and eerie SFX. "Jibba Jabba" has traits of Virus aficionados Ulterior Motive written all over it, whilst "Collision" and "Abyss" take things on a deeper tip as we near the end with stripped back soundscapes and rattling breaks, finishing with funked up sci fi machination, "The Journey Part 1".
