Jay Shepheard has quietly been earning a reputation as one of the UK's finest house producers, via his own reliably polished productions and his fledgling Retrofit imprint. Here he arrives on Dolan Bergin's Electric Minds imprint with a glorious two tracker. A-Side jam "Fuzzy Border" has been coursing through the office speakers since it arrived at Juno HQ, with its delicious 90s NY chopped vocal melody worthy of the MK canon such is the way it dovetails between the jacked up synth stabs, intricately arranged, shuffling hats and a wonderfully gurgling bassline. B-Side "Off The Bridge" sees ethereal vocal whispers offset by the gentle pitter patter of drums and the kind of shuffling groove that makes it the ideal early evening accompaniment to its peak-time predecessor.
