Despite a career that takes in sample sourcing for the Mercury Music Prize winning Portishead, a packed global DJ diary, performing live alongside Boca 45 as Dynamo Productions and being one of the most prolific and eclectic commercial mix DJs the UK has to offer, this is amazingly Andy Smith's first ever foray into solo production! "Sounds Start Rocking" is exactly what you would expect from a man who has all of the above under his belt though. Tough beats, a gut shaking bassline, stuttering hip hop drops, dancefloor shattering stabs and a whole load of funk - an obvious dancefloor rocker! It has already picked up a large following from the CDRs Andy passed around to friends (Joe Ransom has played it for 3 consecutive weeks on Kiss FM) and its appearance on Andy's "Freestyle Mix" CD. Alongside the original there are 2 alternative takes - a more instrumental led "B-Boys Start Rockin" and an edited "Radios Start Rockin" alongside some cuts and scratch tools for DJs.
