Perth prodicer Ewan Jansen has become something of a hot property since returning to action last year after a 14-year hiatus. This outing on his similarly re-born Red Ember imprint follows hot on the heels of killer EPs on Going Good, Inner Balance and Adelaide Soundworks. It finds Jansen in predictably fine form, serving up deep house cuts that bristle with toasty warmth and gentle positivity. Highlights are plentiful, too, from the seductive shimmer of toasty opener "Aqua Libre" and bustling, bleep-heavy shuffler "Plankton", to the Ron Trent-goes-to-South London hum of "Freckles". Pitched-down closer "Castel", a study in futurist atmospherics and '90s style electronica, is pretty darn tasty, too.
