Having debuted on the blossoming Burek last year with the superbly titled Serenity In A Forbidden Place E.P, Esa Williams makes a welcome return to the label here with a four track 12" that highlights his diversity as a producer. Lead track "Time of Planck" finds Williams collaborating with vocalist Bennett and sonically matching the doleful nature of the delivery without any concession to dancefloor impact, whilst "Paradox Jaz" (recover) is fairly dominated by the twisting, introspective acid line at its core. There's a playful manner to the way drums slip out of sync on "Placid Universe" whilst "Drama Queen" cascades in a thrilling manner reminiscent of a sky dive.
