Minsk EP vinyl

Another quality cut from the Chiwax series. East Soul Person's Minsk EP opens with "Track One", a nice piece of sun-soaked house, with glistening pads gently riding on top of an undulating bass line; think beach-side drive with the top down, the sun just beginning to set as you cruise down Santa Monica boulevard. "Track Two" continues to maintain the soft pads but with a night-time twist, while gently reverberated synth hits sound out and fade into the distance as quickly as they appeared. The bassline has been flipped on its head, while a muted 303 gently rises as the track progresses; a great example of introspective house if ever we've heard it. "Track Three" features more plodding 303 basslines and clear-water textures, combining an element of raw jack power with a gentle, angelic touch. High pitched notes sound out throughout the track, cutting right through the rugged Chicago rhythm. The EP finishes as it began, taking us from dusk to dawn with a fourth untiled track that features a disjointed rhythm structure playfully working each element against each other as the 303 takes on a life of its own.
