Review

'Don't Be Shy' is the biggest hit-in-the-making thus far to be delivered off the hugely anticipated new album 'Fun At The Gymkhana', which is due for release this November. And it's going to knock your socks right off. Already being played on Pete Tong's Essential Selection, 'Don't Be Shy' kicks straight off with the 'original mix, an addictive, twangy disco anthem, loaded with flirtatious rhythms and hot-under-the-collar sexy grooves. Next up is a debut remix by Tugg, the drumming talent in Basement Jaxx who has swallowed the original version and spewed out a filthy, growling dance floor monster. Tugg's 'Cold Turkey' remix oozes that beautiful dark early morning chaos through your veins until it literally seeps out of your pores. It will leave you gagging for more. Trevor Loveys and Joshua Harvey of Speaker Junk follow with their remix which take the pace up to another level entirely. Their cloppy, funk-fuelled interpretation is a quirky mash-up electro fiesta that would explode dancefloors from the floats at Notting Hill Carnival right through to the Get Physical parties in Berlin. On a more leftfield tip comes the superb remix by charismatic crooner and producer extraordinaire, George Demure. Demure has not only slung the original into a more smoother seductive groove, but has joined Spektrum's lead singer Lola by applying his own vocals, and trust us - the result is a match made in heaven.
